Summer @ Allen Creek is a time for exploration. Continuing the same high-quality teaching, excellent student to teacher ratio, and thoughtful days we are known for, summer extends outside play into our Nature Area. Blossoming with raised bed gardens, student-made natural structures, water works and bamboo troughs, the Franklin Yard has plenty of room for exploration and creative play. Focusing on using natural materials, providing children with developmentally appropriate games and activities, and supporting families through the summer months, we provide a fun, safe, summer curriculum for your child.

Music for Young Folks, at this camp for children, entering Kindergarten thru 2nd grade, will sing lots of traditional and folk songs, learn musical games, experiment with instrument playing, and begin pre-songwriting skills. The children will be exposed to many folk instruments, such as guitar, banjo, mandolin, fiddle, and hand drums. They will learn to play in a coordinated way on bells and percussion instruments. Beginning music theory will be offered.
