Extended Day Programs

We offer both Extended Day options for preschool children and After School programs for children in the community ages 4 to 9. These classes are designed for enrichment, building long-term relationships, and fostering a love of exploration, learning, and creativity.

You can register on line here, in person, or through the mail. For in person and mail registration, Registration Forms are available here.

Once you are registered, you will need to complete an enrollment form before the day your child starts the program. You can download the form here.

Children will bring their own lunch. Families may sign up for either Wednesdays, Thursdays, or both.

Thursday: The focus in the Studio will be on the exploration and uses of different materials and techniques, color and structure, and the change of seasons.

After School Programs

Wednesdays

Fiber Arts: Wet Felted Treasures with Lorna Rankin

4:15 to 5:30 for Children in Grades 1-4

Children will learn how to use soapy water to turn colorful wool into delightful toys, creatures, fairies, doll clothes, pouches, and even pictures and scenery! They will also learn a few basic hand embroidery and sewing stitches so they can add to our hand-made felt creations.

Thursdays

Music For Young Folks with Katie Chappell Lakin

4:15 to 5:30 for Children in Grades K-2

Children will sing lots of traditional and folk songs, learn musical games, experiment with instrument playing, and begin pre-songwriting skills. The children will be exposed to many folk instruments, such as guitar, banjo, mandolin, fiddle, and hand drums. They will learn to play in a coordinated way on bells and percussion instruments. Beginning music theory will be offered. We will use story-songs to end the class each day.
