In 2009, Karen Baker was both a family consultant and board member at Allen Creek Preschool. When hearing that the school was having financial difficulties, she suggested a dinner and fundraiser to help with scholarships. In just one month, Karen and a group of teachers, fellow board members and parents created Dining for Kids, or D4K.
D4K has taken many forms throughout the years, most recently a very fun night out at LIVE Ann Arbor. Each year, Allen Creek sets a goal of raising funds in support of its mission. This year, our goal is to raise $15,000 in support of our work in providing strong beginnings for children and families in Washtenaw County!
